On 6-7 May 2010, the SA Node participated in a successful World Future Society: South Africa conference in Cape Town. The conference theme was energy, environment, education and economics: Imagineering South Africa’s Future to 2030, and the presentations will be available via the WFS-SA website. The SA Node also used the opportunity to invite participation in its foresightfordevelopment.org initiative. |

The Foresight for Development ( ) initiative is being piloted in Africa by the SA Node with support from The Rockefeller Foundation to promote “foresight for development” by creating a collaborative online platform that will facilitate the coordination, enhancement and promotion of future thinking and practice in Africa.
