- June 2008: On behalf of the HSRC and the Millennium Project, we have the honour of inviting you to participate in a real-time Delphi study to choose variables that should compose a first South Africa State of the Future Index (SA-SOFI). - April 2008: The SA Node was formally registered as a not-for-profit organisation in 2007. In April 2008, the first full audit of the Node's records has been completed. The first SA Node Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being convened at 14h30 on 12 May 2008 at the Institute for Economic Research Innovation (IERI) boardroom in Pretoria. - January - March 2008: The South Africa State of the Future Index (SA-SOFI) project, the first SOFI exercise conducted in Africa, is underway through the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) which secured seed-funding for the initiative through funding from the Department of Science & Technology. It is anticipated that first round outputs from the exercise will be available in May 2008, and interested parties are invited to support the future of the SA-SOFI project.
